Description: This programme was finally staged on the 15th June at Park Hotel after months of rehearsals . Our school girls joined hands with the children from the Red Light areas, Sonagachi to put up a choreodrama , on an script . Ms Aruna Mondal choreographed the entire presentation with the selected background songs were shortlisted collectively. The background sounds and music and the Power Point presentation for this was meticulously selected by Mrs Rima Tamang. Needless to say , our LER students with their commitment and warmth made new friends with the Sonagachi children and their bonding was clearly visible in the sublime and moving presentation. Our parents with their support and with complete encouragement from our Principal, Sr Monica Suchiang and her KMWSC team , this presentation was a resounding success with 100 percent perfection. The journey of the KMWSC for the last ten years was beautifully enacted and we had the audience say at the end that they had tears rolling down their eyes with the portrayals. This presentation depicted the transformation that KMWSC brought about with their action plans among the underprivileged and in those whom they serve. The costumes , make up and everything else added to the presentation and set the mood which brought to the fore that keeping your vision in focus , you can realise all your dreams if the heart and the hands are in synch..the intention must be good and pure in the heart and the hands symbolise how these can be put to use to realise what is in the heart. By the end , our girls got a learning which no classroom and books can bring about. The mature manner they befriended the othrr participants , opened their eyes to the realities of the world and making them empathetic to others. They made friends forever. The excellent production came to an end with a standing ovation and praises from all quarters. The magical show had its moments of surprise when the scenes unfolded with the Principal of Loreto Elliot Road essayist the role of Sr Monica's vision and at the end we see both on stage with Sr Monica symbolizing the dedication, spirit of service and mission of the Loreto Sisters in keeping with Mary Ward's teachings. A fitting tribute to the dynamic presentation came in from all quarters. Thus experience of a lifetime has been captured on some visual frames on the making of the dance drama.
