Description:
Mehvish Mukhlesin of 11 C took part in IIHM SUMMER CAMP which was held from 20th May 2024 to 1st June 2024. The summer camp was quite an interesting and learning experience with different activities for each day. ?Day One: •Ice Breaking Challenge - Activities to help participants get acquainted with each other. •Towel Art - Learning to fold towels into creative shapes. •Flower Arrangement (Ikebana) - Introduction to the Japanese art of arranging flowers. ?Day Two: •Choux Pastry Making - Hands-on session on making Choux pastry, a versatile pastry dough. ?Day Three: •Table Manners & Dining Etiquettes - Training on proper conduct in formal dining settings. •Communication Skills - Workshop on effective verbal and non-verbal communication. ?Day Four: •Application of Meringue (Mixology) - Exploring the use of meringue in creating beverages. ?Day Five: •Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Making - Practical session on making and presenting non-alcoholic cocktails. ?Day Six: •Chopstick Dining - Learning proper use of chopsticks and associated dining etiquette. •Makeup Session - Tips and techniques for personal grooming. ?Day Seven: •Veg and Non-Veg Kebabs - Cooking session focusing on preparing vegetarian and non-vegetarian kebabs. •Origami Art - Introduction to the Japanese art of paper folding. ?Day Eight: •Communication Activity - Exercises designed to enhance interpersonal communication skills. •Hotel Visit (Hyatt Agency) - Educational tour of the Hyatt Agency to understand hotel operations. ?Day Nine: •Pasta from Scratch - Workshop on making pasta from scratch. •Certification - Ceremony recognizing participant achievements and skills acquired during the camp. I would like to thank our respectable principal ma’am Mrs. J.G Surana for giving us this wonderful opportunity to get a hands-on experience in many important areas. Indeed the summer camp was an informative and enlightening one.
