Description: On 3rd May , 2024 St Xavier's organised an Inter School Leadership Symposiumto assist in the development of the leadership skills and in collaborative ability of the aspiring youth. In the first phase there were 3 panelists who also judged the second phase of the competition . The eminent panelsists were OINDRILLA DUTT, DR RITUPARNA BASU AND Mr. RAMAN . Each panelist enlightened the participants about leadership and how to work as a collaborative team . In the second phase our team achieved asignificant milestone which lead to a completion of a comprehensive presentation fostering teamwork. Our team consisted of four members HIFZA SHAHNAWAZ from XII H , MAHEEN AHMED SIDDIQUI of XI C , SAFIYA JANNAT of CLASS X and AYESHA ANJUM from CLASS IX got half an hour to prepare the presentation and 10 minutes to put forward the presentation which required to have the points advanced by the panelists. We adopted a collaborative approach with each member contributing to ideas, research, preparation of slides, getting data and eventually leading to a successful completion of the presentation . We also had to practuse our verbal presentation to match with the power point. This leadership competition prove to be a valuable opportunity for us to develop our leadership skills in the real world context. It reinforced collaborative teamwork , affective communication and adaptability of leadership roles . It also made us realize the importance of time bound work and relwvance to the current happenings. We overcame the challenges that came our way with our calmness, presence of mind and with determination . For our school, this was the first ever such a competition that we were partaking that had to have so many aspects included in a short span of time.It was our team spirit and team work that we delivered to the best of our ability. Though we did not place, we came our with our heads held high at the compliments that cane our way and we were steadfast in our approach to sticking to the rules laid down of not having a pre-made presentation. By the end , we can confidently say that we did ourselves proud as much as we made every concerted effort in not letting our school down. Hence, I on behalf of my team would like to thank our principal ma'am Mrs J G Surana for giving us this opportunity and Mrs Bhattacharjee for guiding us and helping us throughout the competition. - Report by , Maheen Ahmed Siddique Class XI C
