Description: The Junior Section sports event GENESIS, scheduled for the 9th of November in Loreto Convent Entally unfortunately had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. However this did not dampen our spirits and we succeeded in rescheduling it for the following Saturday 16th November, 2019 on a smaller scale; the venue being our very own school premises at LER! As a staff, we let flow our creative inclinations to re-draw the formation of the Drills, the entry and exit routes. The children, who are angels, adapted to the changes swiftly. The cue word “Close In” became the new mantra. There was a wave of excitement in the Junior School grounds. Nervous and excited at the same time for the two back to back shows, the teachers’ nervousness was completely blown away because of the enthusiasm of the girls. The ‘never say die’ spirit of the little ones rubbed off on us as well. The event began with the Amazon Fire being illustrated through a display performed by the Nursery kids and children of class III followed by a prayer for the Amazon and a prayer dance. The Amazon Fire Drill was a showstopper and the amazing Prayer Dance by the juniors and the Yoga by our Rainbow girls surprised all who were present, with their perfect synchronization. There were two mass drills; one put up by the girls of Nursery to class II and the other by classes III to V. Apart from the drills there was a Karate Display and the class events of Nursery and KG. Though we missed our nuns and the Clergy due to the Loreto House Sports being held on the same day, Sr. Lynette and Sr. Shalini’s presence gave us the much required boost. Our Principal Sr. Marilla D’ Souza in her Vote of Thanks expressed her gratitude to the Staff and students for the immense effort and hard work put in by them and for the support rendered by the parents and well wishers. The appreciation by the parents commending us on the displays and on the rescheduling of the Sports raised our spirits. Sister congratulated each and every individual responsible for the success of this short but memorable event. The day ended with the National Anthem.
