CHEMISTRY VIRTUAL LAB
Description: Technology will not be able to avoid the onset of a pandemic; nevertheless, it can assist in managing a crisis more effectively. We all know how badly COVID-19 has impacted our lives, both personal and professional. During this time of sheer uncertainty and constant fear, our willingness to adopt technology has been our lifeline. Since last year all of us, especially school going children have stayed at home. With educational institutes closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has been encouraging online education to achieve academic continuity. Most high-end private and public institutions have made the switch smoothly using online platforms such as Zoom, Google classrooms, Microsoft teams, etc. Today, 28th April 2021, in our chemistry class we experienced virtual lab. We analysed titration experiments. Our teacher explained the process to us. It was a wonderful experience. Online learning has a lot of benefits we can understand concepts at our own pace. The video gave us deep insight of vivid concepts and profound knowledge about the titration process. If the situation would have been normal then we would have done the experiment on our own in our school laboratory. However due to the crisis we had to understand it virtually. Online education allows for learning something beyond the norm. A learner has access to unlimited topics and global experts in niche subjects – something otherwise not affordable or imaginable for many. - Shamun Ateeq Class X (1)
