West Bengal minority development and finance Corporation has started a scholarship scheme called Aikyashree scholarship for the students of West Bengal who belong to the minority community. Under this scholarship scheme financial assistance is provided to deserving students at both college and school level.

Through this scholarship, students can avail financial assistance from class 1 to PhD level. Students only from minority communities can apply for the Aikyashree scholarship scheme. The minority communities areMuslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhist, Parsis and Jains.

OBJECTIVES:

To Provide Financial Assistance for Higher Education of the minority student and to prevent drop out.

TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIP:

Three types of scholarships will be provided under this scheme:
1. Pre- Metric Scholarship (From class 1- class -10)
2. Post-Metric Scholarship (From class 11- Ph. D)
3. Merit cum Means Scholarship ( Technical & Professional courses)

ACADEMIC SESSION 2020-2021:

Pre-Metric (Class 1-10): Total 493 students have applied.
Post- Metric (Class 11-12): Total 72 students have applied.

ACADEMIC SESSION 2021-2022:

Pre-Metric (Class 1-10): Total 424 students have applied.
Post- Metric (Class 11-12): Total 68 students have applied.
