Swami Vivekananda had said, “all power is within you. You can do anything and everything. Believe in that”. Today as I hold the school flag, I look back at my younger self, the one who never expected to wear the Head Girl’s badge.

I thank all my teachers and every member of the Loreto Elliot Road family who have built me up. A leader is not a person who just leads from the front. A leader is a person who unites the team, supports it and keeps the spirit high. Leadership is about guiding through every hardship and showing the right way. It is about being there both during good and bad times. A leader leads by example. It is very important to be true to oneself and always believe in your abilities. Dedication and hard work always pay if one has the will to succeed.

Life has taught a lot and there are more life lessons to learn. Loreto has always been my support system, and I hope that I will be able to serve this school with all my heart and soul. As the chosen leader of the Loreto Elliot Road Student community, my goal will be to ensure each student is able to reach her fullest potential, such that we can carry forward the rich legacy of our beloved school. We shall strive together to build a better future walking hand in hand overcoming all obstacles. Together we can and we will.
