Description:
The students of classes IX to XII had a session with the Traffic Training School of Kolkata which is a division of the Traffic Control Department of the Kolkata Police on 29th July 2024. The session was conducted with the aim of making the students aware about the intricacies of traffic control and the various rules and regulations which we must follow for road safety. Inspector P. Ghatak and his team conducted the session meticulously and were able to strike a response from the audience with their efficient explanations. Along with their explanations using a presentation on the various signs and symbols, they also showed videos on cctv monitoring of roads, different types of accidents occurring on the road and an interview with an ambulance driver while he was driving. Through this session, we learnt not only about the seriousness of maintaining rules and regulations but also the wrong interpretations of signs and symbols were cleared. At the end of the session, with the assurance given by the police, we were able to express our concerns regarding the traffic issues on the road outside the school.
