Description: 24th January Loretoites across the globe dedicate the last week of January from the 23rd to the 30th, in celebration of their foundress, Mary Ward. In LER, students of classes VI to IX and XI are involved in various activities. This year, on the 24th of January, the Mary Ward week of 2025 commenced. The Mary Ward House members had put up a wonderful assembly to take us through the life of Mary Ward. The beautiful assembly reminded us of the difficulties and obstacles she had overcome to bring about women empowerment. 27th January As we continue to celebrate the Mary Ward Week, 27th January takes us through her contributions. It is our privilege to study in such an institution where the maxims of Mary Ward are highly respected and implemented among the students. 27th January taught us the contributions of the Sisters who led a missionary life to honour Mary Ward. The foyr houses came up with their Powerpoint Presentations which enlightened the audience. The class X batch of 2025 had put up their Thanksgiving Assembly. Their last performance filled the environment with exciting spirits. 28th January On the 28th of January, the students of classes VI-VIII were involved in "Poster Making Activity" to highlight the Maxims of Mary Ward. Similarly, classes IX and XI were involved in "Paper Bag Making Activity". These activities are encouraged to pay tribute to our foundress. 28th January is also special because the class XII batch of 2025 took us down the memory lane. 29th January On January 29th, 2025, the students of class VIII organized a small and enjoyable event for the students and the teachers of the Emmanuel Ministries. A prayer service was held, followed by a Bengali animated story presentation which aroused great moral values among all of the children present in the hall. A few fun games were hosted, like FRUIT NINJA followed by "FIRE IN THE MOUNTAIN" and finally "GRAB THE CONE". It was a pleasure watching 20 little smiling faces dancing and running all around the hall. One hour just flew past. The children left our school with a gift and lunch packets. A well spent morning. Truly as Mary Ward's maxim God loves a cheerful giver. In giving we received much more. The joy was immeasurable.
