Description: The first day of the Melisma festival at Calcutta Girls High School saw LER participating in four events: Symphony (English Devotional Songs), Musicorium (Music Quiz), Taalam (Eastern Dance), and Bailando (Western Dance). Each event showcased the diversity of our talents. Symphony tested our vocal abilities as we sang melodious English devotional songs. Musicorium, the music quiz, was both challenging and thrilling as it required us to display our knowledge of various musical genres and artists. In the dance categories, Taalam allowed us to embrace traditional Eastern rhythms, while Bailando gave us the opportunity to show our flair for Western dance styles. Overall, the first day of Melisma was a fantastic experience that gave us the opportunity to learn, compete, and have fun. On the second day of Melisma, our school participated in two captivating events: Laal Mati (Indian Folk) and Samarpan (Vernacular Devotional Song). Laal Mati allowed us to explore the rich cultural heritage of Indian folk music and dance. The highlight of the day was winning the second position in Musicorium.
