Description:
On the 10th of December 2024, I attended an online international webinar on human exploitation, trafficking and the boon and bane of migration. It was a pleasant experience, apprising me of the sinister and malicious practices which are prevalent till this day. The event started with an introduction of all the representatives who had attended the meeting to bring the incidents which occurred in their country to the forefront and the occurrences which are hid behind a corrupt and vicious shadow. The representatives talked about the current situation in their region and how they are coming up with methods to cope with it. The representatives were from America, India, Europe, Toronto, Vienna and Nairobi. It was a delight to interact with people from different parts of the world, analyzing on how different their culture was when compared to ours. I got to know about the situation in other countries, proving that all the people in the world, no matter their nationality or origin, are one with a common aim – erasing the tainted and gruesome part of the world to create a blank canvas on which our future generation can paint their picture of equality and humanity. I learnt the true meaning of the word TEAM – Together Everyone Achieves More. I would like to thank my Principal, Sister Banisha and the JPIC teachers for giving me the opportunity to enrich myself with such an educational experience.
