Description: The Annual Catechism Teacher’s Meet, organized by the Loreto Education Board, took place on May 2-3, 2025, at Loreto House, Kolkata. Attended by Mrs. Stella Gray and Mrs. Bianca Fernandes, the workshop focused on enhancing spiritual understanding and catechetical methods, emphasizing the role of teachers in faith formation. Key attendees included Sr. Monica Suchiang, Sr. Greta Robert, Sr. Apolina, and Mrs. N. Bhattacharjee, along with Catholic teachers from Loreto schools across India. Deacon Ivan Fernandes from the Diocesan Youth Centre in Mumbai was the resource person, sharing innovative ideas like ‘Prayerathon’ and ‘Halo Hero’ to make faith formation engaging. Sr. Monica highlighted the importance of starting catechism classes early in the day and including all students, regardless of their background. Day 2 featured motivational sessions and discussions on moral issues, concluding with a vote of thanks and certificate distribution.
