The Junior Section of Loreto Elliot Road staged its concert this year on the 6th, 7th and 8th of November titled ' Rhythmic Threads of India' . As the name suggests, the play showcased some of the cultural dances that India is extremely proud of. The title 'Rhythmic Threads of India' signifies the oneness that India possesses through the threads of music, song and dance; reiterating the phrase ' Unity in Diversity' which our nation is so proud of.
The story revolves around a 10-year old girl Vinita and her father, Mr. Das, who during the summer vacation decide to visit a few places in India, enjoying their scenic beauty and witnessing some of their cultural dances.
On the 6th, two shows were presented to the children and teachers of other schools and to the middle and senior sections of our school. On the 7th and 8th, four shows ( two shows per day) were viewed by the parents of the Junior Section.
The vibrant and energetic dances along with the soulful singing , the meaningful acting and the wonderful PowerPoint presentation, not to forget the bright, colourful costumes and decorations were greatly appreciated by one and all. The Chief Guests, special guests, Sisters, priests, Principals and parents expressed their appreciation at the hard work put in by the teachers and students.
Events such as this leave a long lasting impression not only on the minds of the presenters but also on the minds of the viewers adding more meaning and substance to our educational system at large.
