WORLD DAY FOR OVERCOMING EXTREME POVERTY ACROSS THE WORLD
Description: When asked to be a part of the team to organize a Morning Assembly on the above mentioned topic. I was a bit unsure as to how would this be any different from previous years. Gradually it dawned on me that just like all other events happening around us, we have ceased to “see and feel.” The corrective process begins with the ability to see, feel, recognize and embrace. The powerful introduction, an original choreographed dance on the theme, the Power-Point Presentation and the skit had that one common thread – see, feel, talk and how love is that connecting thread. The Readings, prayer and the song gave that much needed positive drift that we will empathize and thus will conquer this as well. Since the Festival of Lights is round the corner, the girls of Class X decided to put the underlying message of lights and joy illuminating our minds, thoughts and deeds. On this note we started the day in school.
